It was a very nice place,Calm and welcoming. We were welcomed by the owner of the place that was extremely nice and friendly towards us. I was really impressed with their warm welcome. She even allowed us to come back from the race and freshen up with no added cost.

The room was clean, well equipped and comfortable. The bed was divine and the bedding crisp and clean. The place is perfectly situated in the main road of Winterton and close to the mini market and eating establishments. The owner, Susan, was lovely to deal with. She was friendly and made us feel quite at home. The place itself is set in beautiful surroundings and the gardens are well looked after. We felt perfectly safe at Lilac Lodge/Purple House and we would certainly book there again. We would love to be there in the summer.

Experienced a warm welcome by the hosts,Place was beautiful,could smell the fresh air,the lodge itself was a home,clean rooms,clean fresh,crisp beddings,very spacious,huge kitchen and dining area for my family to enjoy their meals,loved the private braai area,wow,this was an amazing place to stay.Loved every bit of it.
