Overview

Mountain View, as its name aptly describes, is situated high on the hill overlooking the picturesque and bustling Northern Cape Town of Springbok. Itís a perfect stopover for business people and tourists to this enchanting region.
Springbok is steeped in a mining history of days when prospectors descended upon the town in the hope of discovering persistently illusive treasure. The town owes its very existence to the early prospectors who toiled tirelessly to unearth the ground's bountiful mineral deposits amongst which, copper was the most significant.
When visiting Springbok, be sure to visit Van Der Stel's copper mine (3km south of the Carolusberg), the Blue Mine, the Namaqualand Museum and Nababeep's Mining museum (11kms west of Springbok) with displays of equipment used by the early miners and prospectors.

NOTE: If a search was made without stipulating the month of occupation the rate shown on the search results page is for the lowest cost month and the least expensive room. Where pricing is "per unit" the Average Price Per Person based on maximum occupancy is used for the price range comparison. A search made for Homes and Villas however will always be based on the full daily rate of the unit irrespective of the number of people the unit sleeps.

Guest Comments

Heartwarming friendly staff that made us feel at home away from home! The facility was a pleasant suprise and we will surely make use of Mountain View Guest House again for overnight stay while traveling between Namibia and South Africa.

Nice guesthouse on a hill just a few 100m from the town center, so quiet but central. Very well signposted, so easy to reach.
Secure parking in front of the rooms, which will suite most guests as this is obviously for most just a stopover on their way to/from Namibia.
Rooms are well equiped as a 4 star guesthouse usually is, but equipment ist obviously aging and the sofa at my room was bit smelly. The stool at the table was nearly falling apart and the rooms WLAN not working (problem with the LAN cable to the access point, an easy fix if you find out).
Very nice people however, trying there best to help.
So, more of a mixed experience but would use it again for a one night stopover in that area.

Fantastic experience, great location on top of the hill with majestic views from the last room next to the pool.
