North Star Micro Hotel offers comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation in a lovely hotel with stunning sea and beach views. The stylishly furnished hotel is situated in a prime position on Umhlanga’s beachfront. The flowing indoor and outdoor spaces take full advantage of KwaZulu-Natal’s balmy weather and creates a sense of closeness to the ocean. The hotel offers a private setting, a relaxed atmosphere and attention to detail. Accommodation is offered in 7 stylishly furnished rooms, comprising luxury rooms, double rooms, a family room and twin rooms. All the rooms on the first and second floors are sea-facing rooms with their own patios. All rooms are open plan with luxurious bathroom layouts. Each room is equipped with air-conditioning, complimentary mineral water, tea- and coffee-making facilities, a TV with selected DStv channels, Netflix and Showmax, bathrobes and slippers, a well-stocked mini-bar, an in-room safe for valuable items, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Each room has an open-plan bath and shower, except the Whale Shark room has an separate bathroom. The property is designed so that the ground floor is a communal area with inside and outside lounge areas, a fully stocked bar and a dining area. The ground floor is entirely open with stack doors to the swimming pool, Jacuzzi, and the fire pit and garden that leads onto the beach. There is a reception and concierge service to cater for guests needs throughout their stay. By day, watch the dolphins in the surf in front, or take in the magnificent sunset over cocktails in the evening from the Belvedere Bar, fire pit area or, if you prefer, on your own balcony. The hotel offers a housekeeping service and beach gear, such as sun umbrellas, beach bags, balls, bats and suntan lotion. The beach gear can be collected at reception. Safe parking is available. The swimming pool is open from 06:00 to 20:00, and continental breakfast is served in the dining room from 07:00 to 11:00. The Belvedere Bar which overlooks the ocean, is open from 11:00 until 21:00 and snacks are offered to accompany drinks. There is a garden with a private gate for personal use and a walkway from the garden directly onto the beach. The deck area is an ideal spot to sip a cocktail while enjoying the ocean views. Staff will light the fire at the fire pit at 19:00 every night if the weather permits. The 6-seater Jacuzzi at the hotel can be booked for an additional hourly charge. At NorthStar Hotel guests can enjoy a spa experience or a beach picnic. The surrounding area offers beaches on the North Coast, shopping malls, golf courses, restaurants and Sibaya Casino and Entertainment Kingdom.
