Pungwe Bush Camp is situated in the Manyeleti Game Reserve, on the northern boundary of the Sabi Sand Reserve . Known for its exclusivity and authentic bush camp ambience. The Manyeleti has unfenced boundaries between it, the Kruger National Park and the Sabi Sand Reserve and hosts a wide variety of wildlife, including the 'Big Five'.
The bird life is also prolific, with over 300 recorded species.
The reserve is situated away from the mainstream tourist areas and one may still experience the tranquillity of the African bush in total seclusion. The name 'Manyeleti', in the local Shangaan language means 'Place of the Stars' and guests may spend a memorable moment watching a magnificent Southern Constellation, with the pride of place taken up by the Southern Cross.
Morning walks are conducted with experienced, qualified armed guides who ensure that guests get a true wildlife experience. Afternoon/evening game drives are conducted in open vehicles to ensure regular, close up viewing of the Big 5, the abundant plains game and the myriad of raptors in the reserve.
At Pungwe we pride ourselves on our 'Home Cuisine' cuisine, with certain meals still prepared over an open fire. All refreshments are available in our thatched lounge / dining area.
The camp houses a maximum of eight guests in luxury en-suite tents under thatched roves that are positioned to enhance this great bush experience.
Each room has a bricked en-suite bathroom with a separate hot shower, bath, washbasin and flushing toilet.
