Welcome to your Home in the Bush

Tomjachu is an exclusive, family-owned private nature reserve set in over 550 hectares (1300 acres) of mountain Bushveld where family, peace and nature embrace one another and special memories are forged forever.

Whether you are looking for adventure or relaxation, with family, friends, or your loved one, Tomjachu offers something for everyone. On our trails, tracks and roads you can hike amongst the abundant plains game and through mountains and valleys, mountain bike through the bush on easy or challenging routes, enjoy a nature drive or guided bushwalk with our experienced ranger, or try your hand at fishing for bass and bream in our dams.

Or you can simply unwind by the pool, listening to the orchestra of over 265 bird species, as the fresh mountain air trickles up from the valley below.

We accommodate 14 guests at the Homestead and three delightful cottages, each with their own unique character and romance. We are additionally blessed with spectacular bush locations to enjoy memorable bush dinners under the stars, or picnics at one of our many picnic sites around the property.

I feel very great and overjoyed. This was my first holiday with my family and I now know with exactly who I am booking my December holiday with; sleeping-out. I also never won anything before.

My family stay at the lodge was wonderful, it felt like home away from home. The staff was very friendly it would be a crime if we do not consider going back for another vacation soon.

We all thought the accommodation was of an exceptional standard and therefore reasonably priced. The staff were excellent, polite and above all discrete. We will come back. One suggestion perhaps it would be useful to inform would-be visitors that the access road might prove difficult during the rainy season with a low vehicle.

Our stay at Tomjachu Bush Lodge was awesome. The hospitality was just out of this world. We were very impressed by the punctuality of their meals. Lili, the manager there is very sociable and hospitable. We really enjoyed our Easter break. I would definitely like to go back.
