Situated deep in the heart of the Swartland, Vleidam Guest Farm in Koringberg is the peaceful getaway you have been searching for. With panoramic views of the richly fertile farmlands, the farm offers tranquil, country-living for the whole family. Stay within a typical working farm environment with loads of animal and birdlife to enjoy. Vleidam farm has plenty of activity with its picturesque mountain or “koppie”, ideal for hiking or 4x4 trailing, which takes you to phenomenal lookout points.
Accommodation comprises 4 self-catering cottages that come with years of history. Now renovated, the stylish, farm-style cottages were originally built in the 1920’s and still has its initial foundations.
Cottage 1 is a 2-bedroom unit that can accommodate up to 5 guests. The main bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, while the second bedroom has 3 single beds. The second bathroom is fitted with a luxurious bath. This unit also offers a spacious, fully equipped kitchen with indoor braai facilities and a living room with a TV that has M-Net and DStv channels. Other amenities include a fan and heater in each room. Outside, guests have access to a stoep, garden, swimming pool and outdoor braai facilities. This cottage has air-conditioning and Wifi.
Cottage 2 is a 2-bedroom units that can accommodate up to 5 guests. The main bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, while the second bedroom has a double bed and a single bed. The second bathroom is fitted with a shower. This unit also offers a spacious, fully equipped kitchen with indoor braai facilities and a living room with a TV that has M-Net and DStv channels. Other amenities include a fan and heater in each room. Outside, guests have access to a stoep, garden, swimming pool and outdoor braai facilities. This cottage has air-conditioning and Wifi.
Cottage 3 sleeps 2 people (or 4 people). This is the "honeymoon" suite - This unique cottage has a spacious bedroom with a queen size bed, a modern bathroom with a bath and a shower, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a fireplace inside. If needed, there is enough space in the living room for two extra single beds for children or adults. There is also a large “stoep"-area with outside braai-facilities and a breathtaking view of the Swartland. The bedroom and the living room walk out onto the "stoep"-area. This cottage has air-conditioning and Wifi, but it has no TV.
Cottage 4 sleeps 2 people. This unique air-conditioned cottage has a spacious open-plan design and is furnished with a queen-size bed as well as 2 armchairs in the sleeping area. The modern en-suite bathroom is fitted with a shower and a bath. There is a fully equipped kitchen which includes a fridge-freezer, mini oven with stove plates, a microwave, and kettle. The living area features a fireplace and a dining table for 2. The cottage opens onto a spacious patio with outdoor braai facilities and a breathtaking view of the Swartland. Please note that this unit does not have a TV set, but this unit does have Wifi.
We provide soaps and toiletries in each bathroom as well as towels and bed linen for each guest. On arrival, guests will get a freshly baked bread, rusks, butter, jam, milk, coffee, tea and sugar.The cottages are disabled friendly, family friendly and we offer secure, off-street parking on the farm.
Vleidam Guest Farm offers agricultural tours. You may also want to explore the nearby towns of Moorreesburg, Riebeek-Kasteel or Misverstand dam where you can swim, ski, canoe or boat. These touristy towns have plenty of fabulous restaurants, farm stalls as well as wine farms for you to enjoy, all less than 10 minutes away. Otherwise, enjoy an evening in around the “braai pit” on your personal front lawn where kids can play while watching the sunset over the farming meadows.

This was our second stay at Vleidam Guesthouse, even better than the first time. If you need to get away from noise of city life this is the perfect place. The small attention to detail applied makes it even more special. Kids had a blast of time, even flew a kite! Baked bread and jam waiting upon arrival always delicious. For our family this is perfect holiday venue.
All one needs is there, this time we utilised inside braai. Hosts friendly and made us feel so welcome, thanks Nikki.
