Wildebraam Berry Estate is a working berry farm located in the picturesque Hermitage Valley, 2km from Swellendam, at the foot of the majestic Langeberg Mountains with the Klip River twisting through the peaceful berry farming valley.
Self Catering: We offer Berry Cottage (family cottage, sleeps 1-4), Garden Suite (budget overnight room, sleeps 1-2), 2 spacious open-plan Apartments, Blueberry and Cranberry are on the second floor of the cellar (sleeps 1-4)
Enjoy magnificent mountain views and the peace and quiet of country living. Here you will fall asleep with the hooting of owls and croaking of frogs under a breathtaking canopy of stars.
The cellar produces a range of delicious liqueurs. In addition, the farm kitchen produces a tempting array of berry and fruit jams, dessert syrups, chutneys, relishes, pickles and gifts which can all be sampled and purchased in the infamous “tasting room”. It is so beautiful here you will be sorely tempted to pick your own berries (youngberry and blackberry) in season and then relax with your picnic baskets just absorbing the countryside serenity.
Activities include berry picking in season, liqueur tasting, hiking, biking, horse riding, birding, golfing or just good old R&R!
GARDEN SUITE:
Ideal for a budget overnight stay or business traveller. Open-plan bachelor suite with queen bed, shower & toilet en-suite, kitchenette with microwave, frying pan, counter-top 2-plate oven/stove, bar fridge, kettle, toaster, guesthouse package DSTV, free WiFi, air-conditioning and outside braai. BERRY COTTAGE:
Family Farm Cottage, ideal for a couple or a small family. 1 Bedroom (King sized bed), ¾ bed and a fold out sleeper couch (floor level) in the lounge. Shower/Bath & toilet en-suite, kitchenette with microwave, counter-top 2-plate oven/stove, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, guesthouse package DSTV, free WiFi, air-conditioning. Indoor fireplace. Large verandah with undercover built-in braai. Stunning views of Langeberg Mountain range. Pet-friendly on request at R50/pet per night.
BLUEBERRY AND CRANBERRY APARTMENTS:
Blueberry and Cranberry are luxurious, classic country style apartments on the second floor of cellar.
Spacious open plan apartment can accommodate up to 4 guests in combinations of 4 singles / 1 king + 2 singles, ideal for couples with young children, families or single travellers.
The additional single bed pulls out from under the existing single bed - referred to as “the Hideaway bed”. It has the advantage of an ergonomic height as well as effective use of space.
Comfortably equipped and furnished with cotton percale bedding, down duvets, ample bath sheets, quality mattresses on all beds, complete with guesthouse package DSTV, free WiFi and air-conditioning.
Modern bathroom has an en-suite bath/shower/toilet.
The kitchen is fully equipped including microwave, oven/stove, kettle, toaster, and Fridge/Freezer. Large veranda with undercover Weber braai facilities.
