We booked what we thought would be self-catering with meals optionals if we needed. We were quoted R3600. Paid R1800 deposit and settled the R1800 before we arrived at the establishment. We had one breakfast and one dinner. On leaving we realised that we were charged for the B&B option and had to pay R625 extra plus R570 for the meals. Dinner was R200 per person. The bedrooms had no kitchen which is what we expected. If we knew we would not have booked there as there were more establishments that offered more for less the price.

Well looked after from first arriving. Good accommodation and excellent quality meals. Great attention to detail. Thank you for a very comfortable stay, will certainly recommend Winterton Lodge to our friends and will stay here again.

I made a last minute decision to visit Winterton and was so fortunate to have been able to book at Winterton Country Lodge. Being from Australia and driving up from Durban, I had many questions for the lodges owners. Julita was so informative and accommodating to my specific needs. my bungalow was beautiful and I enjoyed my time there. I will stay there again and highly recommend it everyone.

Great hospitality, delicous food, excellent service. We will be back!

It was very nice staying here, everything was possible. Brian was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and big and dinner was delicious. Nearby is plenty of activities to be undertaken.
