Activities in the area include hiking trails such as the Circles In The Forest Hiking Trail, cycling trails through the forest such as Homtini Cycle Route, swimming at Drup Kelders, picnic it Jubilee Creek, bird watching with specials such as the Nerina Trogon, visiting the Daleen Matthee Memorial Stone next to one of the Garden Routes beautiful Big Trees and going on a guided tour of the historical Millwood Gold Mines.
There are good restaurants in Rheenendal such as The Veg Table, The Red Barn and Totties Eatery and a beautiful drive on the Seven Passes Road reveals the true nature of the countryside of the Garden Route. It is a retreat from urban life grounded in nature with the Wilderness and wildlife of the forest and mountains to nurture the spirit.
