Overzicht

Travessia is an Eco Beach Lodge that is all about understated barefoot-luxury. A mere 1 1/2 hours drive from the airport of Inhambane, and just six kilometres of sand track away from the main road, the lodge is accessible enough for a long weekend break and yet still remotely positioned to give you an instant feeling of being cast away. Our secluded casas have 180° sea views, spacious decks, a hammock and ensuite outdoor showers. The lodge is built on raised wooden decks with timber or roll-up canvas walls under a thatched roof. The lodge is entirely solar powered – ensuring a light environmental foot print. Take a walk on our endless beach, relax in the shade of our palm grove, paddle out or gaze at the sea from our rim-flow pool or accept an invite from the neighboring community. Sophisticated whilst down to earth, with no-one around for miles, Travessia is for families, individual travellers and couples alike.

Travessia Beach Lodge is situated between bush and palm trees, on the dunes along an endless beach. When the tide goes out, the surf is low enough to take the canoe for a paddle and both children and adults can enjoy boogie boarding in the surf. Due to the remote location, you will have the beach almost entirely to yourself; except for the local fishermen and the occasional children or women from our neighbouring village.

Deluxe King/Twin

Our Deluxe Rooms come with either King or Twin beds, mosquito nets, en-suite bathroom with separate toilet and outdoor shower, and a large deck with hammock. One additional bed can be accommodated on request.

Deluxe Queen

Casa Madeira is our friendly wooden house, perched on top of a dune with 360° views. It comes with queen size bed, mosquito net, en-suite bathroom with separate toilet and shower, as well as a wooden deck with hammock and sea views.

Family Room

Casa Tartaruga, our family room, accommodates 4 people in two king size or twin beds and one additional bed on request. It is equipped with mosquito nets, en-suite bathroom, separate toilet, outdoor shower, large deck, hammock and 180 degree sea views.
