Established as a guest house in 1996, the house was built in 1928 and restored in 1995.
The house is centrally situated on the Baakens River Valley, overlooking Settlers Park Nature reserve and within walking distance of St George's Park Cricket Grounds and the hospital.
Relax on the covered verandah and enjoy the bird life in the nearby enormous Coral tree. Cape White Eye, various Sun Birds, Knysna Turaco and even the Crowned Eagle are regularly spotted. Local attractions include the Central Area English Settler Cottages, the historic St. Georges Park with its Victorian Conservatory, Nelson Mandela Bay Art Museum, Fort Frederick, the Donkin Memorial, the Campanile and the beautifully restored civic buildings. We are only 50km from the Addo Elephant Park and informal visits can be arranged. Our beautiful beaches and casino are a few minutes drive away, while the world famed Garden Route and Tsitsikamma National Park are an easy 2 hour drive.

Fantastic and cost effective establishment and great breakfast to boot. Very centrally located and easy to get to almost everywhere in Port Elizabeth.

Andrew and his wife are fantastic hosts and really look after their guests. I love that it is centrally situated making access to most of PE quite easy. Beautiful and calming scenery and a lovely garden

The room was clean and comfortable. The garden is extremely neglected. Cat and dog litter in the pathway. Room was quite difficult to access.
The website advertised a room with patio, on arrival we were booked into an inside room, no doors to go outside.
They were very accommodating and moved us downstairs. Recommend that a proper path with steps be installed to make access to bottom room more accessible, than a steep ground path.
