Bloubergstrand is situated along the West Coast, just 20 minutes from Cape Town City Centre. Known for its kitesurfing, incredible views of Table Bay and Table Mountain and the 77m coal ship vessel that has been lying off the shore since 2009, this beach is also popular with surfers and windsurfers. The vessel has said to have improved the conditions for water sports as it redirects the waves and provides shelter from the wind.
The beach is open and long which allows for a variety of beach sports and tanning. There are also a number of places to grab a bite to eat or a drink along the beach front.
