The Kuils River Golf Club is located in
Kuils River, a neighbourhood about 25
kilometres from the centre of Cape Town. The golf club boasts exceptionally
modern facilities as well as a
spectacular location. Kuils River lies on the edge of the Cape Winelands and the golf club’s property was once
the Hazendal Chateau farm. As a result the picturesque
vineyards form the backdrop of this well-maintained course.
The Kuils River Golf Club has an 18-hole golf course and while it may
not be touted as the most challenging course out there, it has a number of
features which endear it to the heart of most golfers. The most noteworthy of
these features are the stunning water
features which define certain holes. These inevitably attract great birdlife adding yet another dimension to an already
pleasing golfing experience.
The Kuils River Golf Club has numerous
other things going for it besides the scenery. Among them is a slick clubhouse
which serves most people’s needs. There is a pro-shop located on site, which sells a range of golfing equipment
from clubs to clothing, and the staff is
always knowledgeable and friendly.
The clubhouse is also home to a convenient halfway house as well as a restaurant and bar, and given its
location, you can expect top quality
wines to be served! There are also function
facilities and a boardroom for
more intimate meetings.
The club, which was established in 1982 adopts a smart
casual dress code in the clubhouse while proper golf attire is expected on the course. Visitors are more
than welcome and will without a doubt love the location and possibly be tempted
to become repeat visitors!
