The Rustenburg Golf Club is a well-maintained course in Rustenburg, a city in the North West province of South Africa. It lies at the foot of the Magaliesberg Mountains, giving the golf club a notable backdrop to say the least. The golf club consists of an 18-hole course as well as numerous ancillary services, centred on the clubhouse.
The course is proudly maintained by the club’s committee and their small army of grounds keepers. It is a text book parklands course being located inland with lush green fairways and lined with trees. This course really does resemble a park, making it a lovely setting to pass a few hours as you work your way around the course, especially with the mountain watching over you. Furthermore, the course was upgraded as recently as 2012 when the entire thing from the 1st-hole to the 18th-hole were installed with bentgrass greens.
The club offers a chipping green, putting green and driving range where members and visitors can practice their strokes before heading out onto the green. If you are feeling particularly useless, golf tuition is offered at the Rustenburg Golf Club.
The club also provides a conference venue for hire, a pro-shop for all your golfing needs and a sports bar where you can grab a drink after a day out in the hot North West sunshine. There is a halfway house too which serves basic meals for hungry golfers.
The dress code at the club is smart casual in the clubhouse and traditional golf attire is expected on the course.
