Accommodation near Worcester Medi-Clinic

The Worcester Mediclinic is a private hospital in the small town of Worcester, which is nestled in the gorgeous Breede River Valley. The hospital is surrounded by mountains and plenty of fresh air, making recovery that bit easier. It is located on a major thoroughfare between Cape Town, Johannesburg and Port Elizabeth, and because Worcester is the largest town in the area, the hospital serves not only its immediate community, but people from smaller towns like McGregor, Montagu, and Bonnievale.

Worcester Mediclinic is part of the international Mediclinic group, which is officially the 6th largest private medical group in the world. The organisation has private healthcare facilities in Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates and Southern Africa, which currently includes South Africa and Namibia.

The Worcester hospital is a multidisciplinary hospital offering treatment for all kinds for all kinds of complaints, from general medical complaints to more specific issues requiring the skills of an orthopaedic or cardiology expert for example.

Supplementary services at the hospital include CT scans, renal dialysis, pathology, urology and MRI scans, while there is also a 24 hour emergency unit, an ICU and high care unit and a neonatal ICU too.

The hospital also offers some specific clinics to its patients, like the Baby Wellness Clinic, which offers things like weight monitoring and immunisations, a diabetes clinic and a preadmissions clinic where patients-to-be can check in prior to their surgery to lessen the inevitable stress on the day of the procedure.

The Worcester Mediclinic also has a coffee shop, hairdresser, pharmacy and other services available for its patients and their visitors.

Worcester Reviews

A quiet and friendly town. The people are humble and very friendly. I didn't feel at any point alienated. Love the old architecture and history of the town and it's buildings.
- Nazlene Smith

We enjoyed the Nuy Valley very much and were quite impressed about all the activity in that rather small area, from wine, olive products and fruit products (jam and preserves etc.) right up to the lovely eatery on the hill where you have to eat the black forest cake baked on the premises. Worcester itself had a lot of places still not open after the Christmas period during our visit early January, which was rather disappointing.
- Jan Snyman

Lovely little town.
- Francois Myburgh

Worcester was nice. Beautiful views and the people are very friendly.
- Malcolm Mentoor

Magnificent natural features and an interesting heritage area. Not many choices of restaurants, particularly during the new year holiday. Karoo Botanical Garden is a great spot to explore, provided you get an early start and avoid the mid-day heat.
