Clubview Unterkünfte
Clubview refers to a medium-sized suburb in the northern part of Centurion. Centurion itself, although once an independent town, is considered a suburb of Pretoria, and falls under the Greater Tshwane (Pretoria) Municipality. Centurion is a veritable business hub within Gauteng, which is really saying something! Clubview is a great suburb thanks to its proximity to Pretoria proper and the business heart of Centurion.
Centurion was once named Verwoerdburg after the then prime-minister, Hendrik Verwoerd. Post-Apartheid however, the name was changed to something more politically neutral, after the residents selected Centurion, after the Centurion Lake in the town. Pretoria’s second biggest mall, the Centurion Mall, is built around the lake, offering a scenic and diverse shopping experience a stone’s throw from Clubview.
There are also 2 air force bases near Clubview, namely the Swartkop Air Force Base, which is home to the South African Air Force Memorial, and the Waterkloof Air Force Base, so those with a love or fascination with aircraft will not be disappointed!
The Centurion Aerospace is a modern development dubbed a ‘supplier village’. It is modelled on international business developments such as Toulous in France and Silicon Valley in California. The Aerospace, as well as the numerous other commercial and industrial developments in the area draw many business travellers to Centurion, and Clubview, with its location quite close to the heart of the town, and sandwiched between 2 major transport routes, that is the R101 and the N14, accommodates a large percentage of them.
Its location in the north of Centurion also makes Pretoria and its attractions, tourist and otherwise, especially easy to get to.
