Fish River Canyon
Fish River Canyon, for being a highlight of Namibia was quite pathetic. The building was terribly run-down, the restaurant was in average condition, given COVID, understandable. The staff were phenomenal, as we had arrived on regional voting day which is a public holiday, still the chef cooked us an amazing steak and the host was great too. Great staff and people, unfortunately having to work in run-down buildings and still be expected to generate income for NWR.

Luderitz
Lüderitz is a quaint, small town with not much going on probably due to COVID. The local homeless people (Washington in particular) are rather annoying and enjoy taking advantage of tourists. Also, the tourist info centre was closed and inoperable during our entire stay in Lüderitz.

Grunau
Very limited, stop over town. Has a petrol station with well stocked shop... the only shop in Grunau. Pop into the Grunau country hotel for a cold beer and game of pool, excellent food and service!

Luderitz
We loved the trip to Kolmanskop and the other places of interest. The Spar shop at Luderitz can be recommended for Friendly service and an excellent butchery! Lovely meat, loved the boerewors and the prices were cheap.

Luderitz
Still a beautiful town. Worth a visit if you have the time to do the distance. At least 3 nights required.

The Underberg area had good eating places and a big store to buy all our groceries so we did not have to carry much . All the people we met were very friendly and welcoming. Enjoyed the many trails and spent some time at the Sani Pass Hotel. Overall a wonderful experience and will be back soon.
