Tuli Game Reserve Unterkünfte
The Tuli Game Reserve is a conservation area found in the east of Botswana, in an area known as the Tuli Block. The Tuli Block refers to a finger of land which juts out from Botswana and intrudes into Zimbabwe, in much the same way the Namibia’s Caprivi Strip juts into Botswana.
There are many game reserves in the Tuli Block area, with the most well-established and well-known being the Northern Tuli Game Reserve. Generally speaking, the Tuli Block is an unfenced area where animals can roam freely across the roughly 800 000 square kilometres which constitute the conservancy area. This gives one the sense of really being immersed in the African bush, an unbeatable and unforgettable sensation.
The area has a wealth of water supplies, as it’s where the mighty Limpopo River meets the Shashe River, and where there is water, there is game. The prey species in the area include kudu, eland, waterbuck and more, which are followed diligently by hunters like lions, leopards and cheetahs. Elephants and rhinos add to the milieu, as do crocodiles and hippos, completing the African safari experience.
The landscape of the area is unique too in Botswana, as it is instantly recognised by the red sand and the abundant variety of trees which line the Limpopo River. The area boasts species like fever trees, sesame trees and the African icon, the baobab. The area is also unique because it is much rockier than other parts of the country, rocky outcrops and plenty of oddly-shaped stones and pebbles.
