Whisky Live Sandton 2015 - 11
The much anticipated Whisky Live Festival comes to the sparking metropolis of Sandton this November.
Said to be the largest whisky tasting shows in Africa, The Whisky Live Festival attracts scores of whisky connoisseurs with its showcasing some of the world’s finest single malts and blends from the 11- 13 November 2015 at the Sandton Convention Centre.
This premier whisky tasting festival has been in the running for 12 years and it's resounding success is due to accommodating both the novice- just beginning to delve into the whisky appreciation as well as the seasoned connoisseur who loves a quality blend.
This year sees the return of the whisky showroom- a veritable hit- where a range of premium whisky brands is showcased with exclusive mini-tastings. To maximise your whisky-tasting experience, the showroom will be an intimate affair allowing only for a limited number of occupants in at a time. Whiskies available to taste will include Glen Grant’s Five Decades Edition and Gentleman’s Jack and Balblair.
Visitors to the show will also be able to taste rare scotch, barrel-fermented American bourbon and world-famous Irish ‘water of life’ as well as learn about the origins of each brand and get tips on what to pair each dram with. What's more, if you're looking to up the ante on your whisky knowledge take advantage of the various workshop led by expert whisky-makers.
Local and international brands on show include Kavalan, The Glenlivet, Bain’s Cape Mountain Whisky, a selection from the House of Johnnie Walker, Balblair, the Balvenie and Glenfiddich.
To line the stomach and soak up the booze, whisky-friendly snacks and canapes will be served throughout the event. Tickets go on sale from the 16 October 2015. Tasting Hall ticketholders receive complimentary tasting glass, a copy for the SA Whisky Handbook 2015, 15 tasting vouchers and a 500ml bottle of Valpre Spring Water. Designated driver tickets will also be available at a reduced rate to ensure you get home safely after the event.
