InniBos is an iconic Afrikaans arts festival showcasing the best of Afrikaans music, theatre, cabaret, children’s theatre, literature and the visual arts – ‘innibos’ in the heart of Nelspruit. The 2018 edition of the festival will be taking place from 27-30 June 2018 at various locations around Nelspruit.
Every year Innibos welcomes an ever increasing influx of people. Recently, the number has been exceeding 100 000 festival goers. The festival recieved accolodes at the Fiesta Awards in Cape Town, where it was voted the country’s most popular festival!
The key attractions of the festival are the performances, some 200 musicians, actors and artists showcase their talents at this family-friendly festival.
In addition to the performances, over 200 numerous art, craft, and food stalls open up to the public and create a vibrant epicentre for the festival.
The festival restaurant and beer garden is open to provide a retreat for those in need of refreshments and food amidst the excitement, hustle and bustle of the festival. A fully equipped and supervised kid’s entertainment’s area is also available to keep the little ones active and amused for the duration of the festival.
There will also be a ‘book crawl’, where festival-goers are able to board a bus and travel from stop to stop listening to various writers talk about their books and give book readings.
