Launch of The Doers Club
There's a Cape Town proverb that goes "Let's connect for a drink sometime" and yet, only 1-2% of them ever actually happen. This got us thinking. How can we change this? The world already has enough talkers, we all know one. What the world really needs is more 'Doers.' So we thought, why not reward those that actually make it happen. Plus it helps people pronounce the name of one of the greatest whiskies in the world, Dewar's , which is similar to 'Doers' but with more 'dew'. Like the dew that gathers from condensation.
So thanks to Dewar's Whisky, they decided to double down on our doing, and create a place, a club and series of get togethers for people who ' do' more than they 'talk' And so, "The Doers Club" was born.
A global members club and community of people that have one thing in common: They make it happen.
In a world of talkers, we've realised that it's the doer's that are actually, going to change the world.
So join us at the launch of the Doer's Club on Wednesday the 24th of July at Kapstadt Brauhaus, Clock Tower side of the V&A Waterfront.
We've invited two of our favourite artists, Freshlyground and funk, jazz-hop extraordinaire Astrafunk to help us launch, hosted by the incredibly funny Mr Mamello Mum-z Mokoena himself.
True to the Studio Seven experience, this evening will be in the form of a Story Session. Each artist, performer and host will share a bunch of stories, songs and skits that will take you on a journey that will make you laugh, perhaps cry, sing out and smile.
And because it's our launch, we've made the entry FREE.
