Revving Up Rosé Festival 2016
Every year, the Cape's premier rose producers come together to showcase the diversity and versatility of rose varietals. This year's festival runs on the 13 February 2016 at the Rickety Bridge Estate in Franschhoek.
Nothing says 'summer' like a glass of chilled rose poolside, and Revving Up Rose Festival 2016 are turning those fantasies into a reality. While considered a 'girls' drink by many, the festival is turning this misconception on its head with its showcasing of man-sized glasses of Rosés, Brosés (Rosés for the ‘bros’) cocktails and bubbly's.
Vino-lovers can embark on a journey of the senses while tasting, smelling and marvelling over a wide-variety of pink-coloured wines. Wash the wine down with some grub from the food stalls - here you'll indulge on a variety of street-styled gourmet cuisine. Alternatively, you can pre-arrange a picnic and nibble on some treats under the shade of trees. If you're looking for more of a sit-down meal, Paulina's Restaurant will be open throughout the day.
If you're a runner looking to stomp the pavement, why not take part in the 'Rose Run'? There are a variety of routes to choose from, catered to both the fitness fanatic and running newbies. After a bit of exercise, runners can freshen up by using the wine estate's shower facilities.
End off your wine-fuelled day by watching the sunset and listening to the soothing tunes of live performances!
