The Taste of Cape Town 2016
The 9th edition of Taste of Cape Town will be making its return from 7-10 April 2016 for three days of foodie heaven at the Green Point Cricket club. Taste of Cape Town, in partnership with AEG, will be presenting a selection of the Mother City’s most trendy, eclectic, much-loved, and traditional restaurants, accompanied by a string of acclaimed chefs.
Food fundies have the opportunity to create their own dream tasting menu from over 10 of the city’s latest, greatest and hottest restaurants. Featured chefs will fashion special menus of starter-sized dishes for the occasion, designed to reflect their philosophy and showcase seasonal and premium ingredients in an unbeatable gourmet setting.
With a wide range of boutique exhibitors, artisan producers, premium drink brands and award-winning wineries, there will provide a bounty of the country’s finest food and drink on offer, ensuring that visitors can peruse craft stalls and shop for a range of produce in the laid back atmosphere of a boutique food market.
Each year Taste of Cape Town brings together not just restaurants and food and wine suppliers, but a line-up of innovative and interactive programmes on cooking and eating designed to educate and entertain the Cape Town public in equal measure!
The official line-up has not yet been disclosed, but if last year is anything to go by, visitors are in for an unrivalled culinary fiesta, matched by the unbeatable alfresco gourmet setting of the Green Point Cricket club.
This unique collaboration of Cape Town’s finest eateries, chefs and producers makes Taste of Cape Town the must veritable social highlight on the calendars of discerning foodies.
