I wish I had more time to see all the tourist sites in Vryheid. I learned from brochures in my room about things worth seeing. Next time I will plan my trip to allow for this.

Vryheid
Wow ! It was our first time visit to the town - so impressed - clean, friendly people and very, very impressive. Could not believe how clean the streets were on a Saturday evening after a busy Saturday morning shopping session. Admired the beautiful lit up stone church in town which I have subsequently posted on facebook as the most beautiful church I have ever seen. Will for sure be back in Vryheid and have recommended to many friends to take the time to visit such a beautiful, peaceful town. We had to travel to the rural area of Vryheid for business and again found the residents to be so welcoming. We presented the Vryheid rural church community with a non-electric brick making machine so that the community can start making their own bricks to build houses. They were ecstatic with happiness and blessed my husband and I for opening new doors to their community. We will be back in 2 months time, once they have built up a stock of inter-stacking bricks so that we can show them how to build their houses. We left Vryheid with warm content hearts and will return with the same. What an experience !!!

Vryheid
Vryheid is a charming little town. With its intriguing history I wished I had more time to get acquainted. However in my short visit I was impressed by how friendly the people I met were. Next time I'm in the area I will give myself at least two days to cycle the nature reserve, to see some of the battle fields and to visit some of my new friends again.
