Overview
Dungbeetle River Lodge is uniquely situated on the banks of the beautiful Sundays River where it flows into the Algoa Bay and overlooks the vast sand dunes across the river. This Safari style lodge offers six up-market large, en suite bedrooms, with old world furnishings and is subtly decorated to give you a classy colonial African Safari feel.
The new entrance to the Addo National Elephant Park is a mere 3 kms away.
The lodge has several canoes for your enjoyment. A boat port is available, for those people who have their own boat. Bicycles are made available, for those who enjoy the outdoors.
Hiking trails across the unique Alexandria Dune fields formed six and a half million years ago.
Swimming in the tidal, clean Sundays river is enjoyable, and great fun!
Several record sized fish have come out of this river, and fishing activities are available.
Each room comes with television, honesty fridge, safe and a choice of single or double bed.
Our Honeymoon suites, the FISH EAGLE and the AFRIKA SUITE, comprises a four poster bed and an open plan bathroom .

From the welcome drink, to breakfast before we had to leave was much more than what we expected. We enjoyed our stay, and all the chats with the owners. We can highly recommend Dungbeetle, and will definitely visit them again.
