INTRODUCTION
Magari Lodge launched in 2019, is a beautiful, boutique safari villa in the private Jembisa Game Reserve in the heart of the Waterberg Wilderness. Magari is in a spectacular position with breath-taking views above a sweeping bend of the Palala River over savanna and woodland to a backdrop of hills. This exquisite, small, personal and private lodge is only available for Exclusive Use bookings and is perfect for small groups, families, celebrations and very romantic safari weddings. Guests experience a safari for the soul, enjoying the relaxation, health and well-being benefits of this remarkable, unique bush villa. It truly is MAGICAL MAGARI.
LODGE ACCOMMODATION AND FACILITIES:
Sleeping just 10 - 12 guests in 6 rooms, Magari is available only on an exclusive use basis. Three of the rooms have outdoor decks with views of the valley and hills, two have outdoor showers from which the incredible view can be admired, and two are garden rooms. Wi-Fi is available in all the rooms.
The main lodge at Magari is beautifully appointed and has a boma in which to enjoy sitting around a campfire in the evening, a sunbathing terrace and a swimming pool with spectacular views.
CHILDREN AT MAGARI:
Children 6 years and older are very welcome at Magari, and activities are tailor-made to suit all ages. Free baby-sitting is provided.
WEDDINGS & CONFERENCES:
The spectacular position and views from Magari lend itself perfectly as a romantic safari wedding venue. Each wedding is crafted individually in consultation with the bridal couple. The wedding ceremony and celebration can be conducted anywhere around the lodge and on the reserve.
ACTIVITIES:
There are a wide range of activities to suit all ages and interests, including day and night game drives, guided bush walks, wildlife camera trap setting, bird watching, camp outs under the stars, teen tracker programmes, swimming, fly-fishing, visits to Bushman painting and Iron Age sites on the reserve and massage treatments for those looking for more relaxation. Many guests enjoy the opportunity to keep fit here, including the freedom to go running on the reserve, mountain biking and hiking. We can also offer some interesting activities nearby such as safari horseback riding, big 5 game drives, safari golf, shopping at African curio art shops, adventurous zip lining and cultural tours (subject to availability).
WILDLIFE:
The landscape provides a wide variety of habitats, resulting in a high diversity of animal and plant species. The reserve offers 69 animal species and 270 bird species. Night drives are a favourite where guests can search for the more elusive nocturnal animals such as bush babies, porcupines, aardvark, caracals, leopards and brown hyenas.
MEALS & DIETARY REQUIREMENTS:
All meals are freshly prepared by the chef who makes use of fresh, local and seasonal ingredients, many from the lodge vegetable garden. We will gladly cater for any special dietary requirements and offer a variety of exciting dining venues both at the lodge and in the bush. Special occasions can be celebrated in style.
