Overview
Mountain Splendour is a little piece of paradise, tucked away on a small working farm, in the heart of the Central Drakensberg. This beautiful resort boasts spectacular mountain views, farm-style personalised service and excellent amenities all set amongst a forest of trees, shrubs and manicured lawns.
Camping is made easy with a selection of luxury private bathrooms, pre-erected safari tents, large raised and levelled sites, tea on arrival, friendly staff to assist with setting up, fridges and mattresses for hire, free freezer space, a serviced laundry and a superb playground for the kids. Outdoor activities include mountain biking, pony rides, tubing, swimming, picnicking, birding, hiking, tennis, volleyball, golf, fishing, white water rafting, canopy tours and zip lines.
Not ready to take on camping just yet? No need to worry, we also have self-catering Log Cabins and Luxury Glamping units available. These units are fully equipped for self-catering, proper beds, en-suite bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and inside fireplace for the winter months.
Nearby enjoy the Drakensberg Boys’ Choir School, Bird of Prey Centre, restaurants, shops, bakeries, arts and crafts, battlefield sites and wildlife reserves. There is a choice of a two or three bedrooomed cabin. These modern units have a lovely undercover veranda boasting spectacular views to the mountains. The units have an open plan kitchen, lounge and dinning area. Bathroom has a bath and a shower. Rates below are per person sharing and are listed for low season. Please check with resort as mid season rates apply in school holidays and long weekends.

The luxury glamping tents offer families 5 star camping. All units are ensuite and sleep up to 5 guests in two sleeping areas. The unit contains an open plan kitchenette - dining - lounge area inclduing a wood fired stove to keep you warm in winter. The spacious veranda includes a built-in-braai and patio furniture. Sleep under canvas in style!

This is the coolest way to camp - arrive at Mountain Splendour and move into your pre-erected tent on a site of your choice in the park. This means you can "Glamp"next to friends or family. The Mobile Glamping Tents are fully equipped with all the basics you need to camp! Included in the Glamping tents are beds, linen, table, chairs, lights, cutlery, crockery, fridge, kettle, microwave and braai. GUESTS NEED TO BRING THEIR OWN TOWELS. Rates quoted below are for the first two guests in low season.
