Unitas Hospital is proud to be the largest private hospital in South Africa.
The healthcare facility is owned and operated by the Netcare group, which provides acute healthcare as well as training
for paramedics and various other services. Unitas Hospital, which boasts 470 beds, is the flagship hospital of the group, and is
the original facility which sparked the growth of the now 56-strong network of
hospitals.
Unitas is located in the suburb of Lyttelton in Centurion, just outside
Pretoria.

medicine, neurology and neurosurgery, cardiology and cardio-thoracic surgery,
general surgery, radiology, dermatology, paediatrics, pathology and
rheumatology.
Some of the specialised units are a 24 hour emergency medicine unit, complete
with a helipad and an oncology unit. Ancillary services offered at the hospital
are baby-related, such as ante and post-natal classes, immunisations and
breastfeeding advice; wound care; counselling support relating to issues with
one’s illness and the hospital procedures; speech therapy and audiology.
There is also a 24 hour retail pharmacy, a coffee
shop and 5 guest suites for family
members and loved ones who’ve come from afar.
