Cape Town Comic Con 2018
FanCon Cape Town Comic Con is an annual comic book convention held in Cape Town. The event takes place from 27 - 28 April 2019 and invites all comic-lovers as well as aspiring artists and writers to join in on the action.
FanCon Cape Town Comic Con 2019 promises a jam-packed two day convention. Attendees can look forward to a return of all their favourite activities that the first show offered, including new international guests, and much more. Alternatively, discussions, as well as workshops, will be held to discuss the ins and outs of comic-book writing styles and designs.
If you're looking to add more to your comic collection and experiances, there will be an artist alley featuring local, national and international comic artists and guests, a panel programme of talks, discussions, interviews and workshops, comic book launches, artist and author signings, artists selling comics and art prints, exhibitors and vendors selling a wide range of geeky products, retailers of comics, graphic novels, manga, action figures, novelties, and board games, including special sales & discount goods. Peruse the many stalls selling a miscellany of comic-related paraphernalia including graphic novels and board games. Casual gamers and competitive players can put their skills to the test at the board gaming zone, where they'll be put up against like-minded folk.
Fans can also expect a visual feast of cosplay activities, including a masquerade and competition, displays and exhibits of rare vintage comics, original comic art, statues & models, and of course a geek quiz where visitors can score an awesome range of cool merchandise.
To add to the festivities there will be live music performances happening throughout the day, providing a platform to up-and-coming local musicians.
