The stay on the Houseboat in Port Alfred was a highlight of our holiday - highly recommended. Felt like the rich and famous. What a way to spend Christmas away from family and big meals!!

Port Alfred is truly the heart of the sunshine coast. The people are friendly and the beaches beautiful. Our children spent hours belly boarding and building sandcastles. The shops and restaurant's are of the best quality and the town is clean and inviting. There is plenty of activities for all concerned. We will be going there again in the near future.

The Baviaanskloof is close to my heart. It is the 3rd time in a row that we stay over for two days on our way back home from Sedgefield. This somehow makes the end of our holiday a lot better. The Baviaanskloof has a special magic. All these beautiful mountains and the river crossing the road so many times...........we continuously stop to splash our feet in this bright clear water, looking to see how many tortoises we can see seeking the same pleasure. We also saw some Kudu and Njala in the reserve this time, we were quite surprised. We stop at a farm stall and were treated to the best roosterkoek fresh from the coals.......what a treat! This time it was very hot but I believe two days after we left, the Baviaanskloof had beautiful rain......just what I prayed for! This is a place my husband and I got to love and we will be back!
