The Caledon Flower Garden, also known as the Venster Kloof Nature Garden, is a hive of indigenous fynbos and vegetation, prolific bird life and scenic, mountain views of Swartberg. During the month of September, horticulturalists visit the town for the annual flower show where blooming varieties of Cape wildflowers are put on display.

Travellers looking to explore the area can drive through the Shaw Pass, this mountain drive traverses through de en Aarde, a valley that connects Hermanus to Caledon. Drivers will enjoy a gentle drive, which may come as a surprise as the roads are mostly gravelled. Upon one’s exploration of the area, travellers are encouraged to take a quick pit stop at Tesselaarsdal, a quaint village known for its livestock and lavender farms.
